Privacy Policy – Hidden Apps Detector
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Hidden Apps Detector ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our mobile application, available on Google Play. Your privacy is important to us. This App was designed to protect your privacy — not to compromise it.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
The App does not collect, transmit, or store on any server:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identity information
- The list of applications installed on your device
- Scan results or reports generated by the App
- Your contacts, messages, photos, files, or call logs
- Your precise location
All app scanning and analysis is performed entirely on your device. Scan results never leave your phone.
2. App Permissions and Why We Need Them
The App requests the following permissions solely to provide its core functionality:
- Package Visibility (App Queries): The App uses Android's package visibility feature to view the list of launchable applications installed on your device. This is required for the App's core purpose — scanning and listing installed apps so you can review, inspect, and identify hidden or unwanted applications. This information is processed locally on your device only and is never transmitted, stored externally, or shared with any third party.
- Request Delete Packages: Allows the App to request the uninstallation of an app you select. The system always asks for your confirmation before any app is removed — the App cannot uninstall anything on its own.
- Internet & Network State: Used to load advertisements and check network connectivity for ad delivery.
- Wi-Fi State: Used to determine network connectivity status for serving advertisements.
- Phone (Call & Phone State): Used only to support in-app actions such as initiating a call from within the App and adapting behavior to the device's telephony state. The App does not read your phone number, call history, or contacts, and never places calls without your action.
- Advertising ID (AD_ID): Allows Google AdMob to use your device's resettable Advertising ID for serving and measuring ads (see Section 3).
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect information used to identify your device for the purpose of serving advertisements and measuring their performance:
- Google AdMob (advertising) — may collect device identifiers such as the Advertising ID, approximate location derived from IP address, device information, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. You can learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data in AdMob.
- Google Play Services — required for the App to function on Android and for ad delivery. See Google's Privacy Policy.
These third parties process data under their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for their data practices.
4. Advertising and Your Choices
The App is free and supported by advertising. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your device settings and region. You can control ad personalization on your device:
- Go to Settings → Google → Ads and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Delete advertising ID".
Where required by law (such as in the EEA/UK), you will be shown a consent form allowing you to choose between personalized and non-personalized ads.
5. Data Security
Since the App does not collect or transmit your personal data to our servers, the risk of your data being exposed through us is minimal by design. Any data processed by third-party ad providers is protected under their respective security practices.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We do not retain any user data on our servers because we do not collect any. All locally processed information (such as scan results) is removed when you uninstall the App. To request deletion of data held by advertising partners, please refer to Google's privacy controls linked in Section 3.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California), you may have rights regarding personal data, including access, correction, and deletion. Because we do not collect personal data ourselves, most such requests should be directed to the third-party services listed in Section 3. You may still contact us with any privacy question and we will assist where possible.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
10. Contact Us
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or the App, you can reach us through the developer contact details available on the App's Google Play Store listing page.
